That was a stirring event last night, and one I was proud to share with my daughter. She was friends with Jarred Brown, the first cyclist we honored, who was killed at Magnolia and Appalachee.
The procession and chaining of the ghost bike to the scene was powerful and cathartic, and I deeply appreciate everyone who worked (and have been working) to keep the ghost bike ritual alive.
This town eats cyclists.
True, but last night’s ride will sour the taste some.
I saw one today on Park Ave and it was, indeed, ghostly.
